Just a quick note to let you know how very pleased we were on the professional catering job that your team did for our recent Holiday dinner at the Maple Lane Country Club in Elmwood, IL.

I serve on the board and was your point person for all the coordination/communication during the 2 months prior to the event.  Thus; you did not let me down as you came through on every commitment.  All 45 of our guests commented on how wonderful the food was and how everything was presented!

I highly recommend to anyone the smoked Prime Rib which is now a favorite of many since we’d never had that taste of Prime Rib before!  All the sides and desserts were right on as promised too!

Way to go Hick’ry Stick and we will certainly be contacting you for more catering events throughout the year at our club.

You are a great asset to our community as well…

The Hickry Stick in Elmwood, IL is a great restaurant with homemade tastes for everyone.  Situated in a very unique and beautiful building just off the downtown square is some of the best bbq and smoked meats around.  You have to try the mac and cheese and plan on staying for their desserts.  It is run by great people who take great pride in their food quality.  You have to try it out!

_____________________________________________________________________________________________On January 18th, I booked The Hick’ry Stick to cater an appreciation dinner for my co-workers upon the occasion of my retirement.  WHAT A SUCCESS!!!  The pulled pork was devoured instantly, with several commenting they had never tasted better.  The mac ‘n cheese disappeared quickly as well.  Considering fried corn is one of the dishes my grandmother made so many years ago, I requested that for the menu as well.  It, too, was greeted with positive comments, and almost everyone taking second helpings.  However, the highlight of the entire dinner was the blackberry cobbler we had for dessert.  What a delicious change from the normal cake and ice cream you normally find at such occasions.  I honestly think we could have eaten double the amount of cobbbler!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Hick’ry Stick and look forward to stopping by their Atlantic Street facility for lunches and early dinners.  Peoria is fortunate to have such a high-quality restaurant and caterer.  Five ***** to them from me!!
