On January 18th, I booked The Hick’ry Stick to cater an appreciation dinner for my co-workers upon the occasion of my retirement.  WHAT A SUCCESS!!!  The pulled pork was devoured instantly, with several commenting they had never tasted better.  The mac ‘n cheese disappeared quickly as well.  Considering fried corn is one of the dishes my grandmother made so many years ago, I requested that for the menu as well.  It, too, was greeted with positive comments, and almost everyone taking second helpings.  However, the highlight of the entire dinner was the blackberry cobbler we had for dessert.  What a delicious change from the normal cake and ice cream you normally find at such occasions.  I honestly think we could have eaten double the amount of cobbbler!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Hick’ry Stick and look forward to stopping by their Atlantic Street facility for lunches and early dinners.  Peoria is fortunate to have such a high-quality restaurant and caterer.  Five ***** to them from me!!
